10th President John Tyler
In second grade, my class went learned cursory facts about each and every U.S. President in order. It was perhaps because 1988 was an election year. As a young child it came as a small shock that there was going to be a new president. I assumed Ronald Reagan was going to be president forever. But whatever the case, those lessons sparked an interest in the Presidents that's lasted ever since.
But even with my inclination towards the subject, I couldn't tell you a single interesting thing about 10th President John Tyler.*
Until now.
It turns out that John Tyler, who was born in 1790 has a grandchild who is still alive today. That's right.
Born in 1790, Tyler had a child in 1853, when he was 63.
That child had a child in 1924, when he was 71.
That child, born in 1924, is now 92 and still alive.

Tonight Show - Bachelor Reenactment
For those that missed the high drama that is "The Bachelor", Tariq and Questlove reenact the pivotal scene. Be warned: this is intense.
There's something else I'd like to see. Interspersed with all the scenes in these "reality" shows is always the participants speaking directly to the camera. They could incorporate those as Shakespearean soliloquies. One stands up, gets a spotlight and delivers their lofty dialogue.

North Koreans Try American BBQ
A few weeks ago, I posted a video of interviews with North Korean defectors. The makers of that video decided to do something with the same perspective but with a more fun approach. So here are North Koreans trying American BBQ for the first time.
It starts slow but stick with it.
