Note To Hollywood: Coffee Cups

I don't understand why every time we see a Starbucks-like coffee cup in a movie or TV show, it's so obviously empty. If they want it to be empty because they don't want to pick up sloshing audio then fine - it's silly but fine - but how hard would it be to still give it some mass. I mean, we can put Matt Damon on Mars but we can't figure out how to make a paper cup appear not empty?

Classic Roots Choice #29

Well, sure, we should be a bit further than 29 at this point. This series took quite a hit at a certain point. It also doesn't help that there's no easy way to show the actual video (as is the case here).

Danny DeVito was on The Tonight Show to promote "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" so The Roots played the most Philadelphia song out there... the Action News Theme.

The only way to see it is by watching the full episode and even then, there's not much to see - it's a song after all. There's an article about the event here.

Tonight Show - Bob Dylan

I don't know how The Tonight Show can get a guest like 60s era Bob Dylan, but somehow they do. All I know is he's covering a song that I've never heard before and also that he's gone electric... so I guess we should boo him... and it's time for Levon to go work on an oil rig or something.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, everyone. For this Christmas, I will be posting Jimmy Fallon and The Roots (together with a children's choir) singing "Christmas Time is Here" from my favorite, "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

Unfortunately, it's not on youtube, only hulu and hulu is really finicky with embedding videos for some reason.

Does this work? Do you see anything? Is it a merry yule loggy time now?

*Sigh* the internet.

Anyways, here's video #2 in case that one doesn't work.

Self-explanatory:
