RLM - Wheel of the Worst #32

Another "back to form" video, this time a Wheel episode.

I had a query about the hair video. I recognized the idea, I remember things like that being developed at the time. I may even have seen that exact thing, who knows. But I don't understand how there are no labels for each hairstyle. Like, if you watch the video and decide the fifth hairstyle is the one you want, how do you then communicate that to a barber? I don't understand.

Oh and the "I'm with ya too" line was a constant in my childhood. I still think about it today.

I will say, without spoiling anything, that the Star Trek-related gag they do was very unsettling for me.

I don't have the same relationship with the "Gremlins" movies that other people seem to have. It's probably that I didn't see them when I was a kid, I watched them later, so that may be it. I love "The 'Burbs" though and I'm glad to see it high on the list.

Mr. Plinkett's What Happened To Star Wars?

 

I largely agree with Mr. Plinkett, aside from the fact that I have no opinions on "Andor" and "The Acolyte" because I haven't seen them. I am an old Star Wars fan who is not passionate enough to continue through the crap and also not passionate enough to complain about the crap. I've made my peace with reality, although this review brings the mourning back to the surface, ironically enough.

I miss the humorous Mr. Plinkett videos. This is solid anal-sis but it's a bit depressing, to be honest.

RedLetterMedia's "Best of the Worst" Episode 141.

I won't spoil it but the ambition and execution of what they do at the end is what elevates this episode above the average.

The boys watch 3 movies based on the randomization of a not-so-legally-distinct Plinko board.

Of interest to me, and perhaps to you, they watch "The Peanut Butter Solution" which I covered myself here. It's fun to see that our thoughts mesh well. Of particular note: we both compare "The Peanut Butter Solution" to "Rosemary's Baby," which is wildly specific.

"Impressions" is a new game show where Rich, Josh (the new Josh) and Jay compete to see who is the best impressionist.

The key here is that the required impressions are randomized.... randomized.

It's interesting to note that Josh was Geoff, the robotic side-kick of Craig Ferguson.

Given this thumbnail and that it's 17 minutes long, I couldn't figure what this could mean. RedLetterMedia has acquired an artifact from the original series of "Star Trek."

This is labelled as re:Visit not re:View but I don't understand the difference.

I have no opinion of "Popeye." I may have seen it but I'm not even sure about that. But this is just a great discussion about an interesting movie, if you're into that.
