I always assumed that there was something I was missing about the Super Mario Bros 3 sliding picture game - I was sure there was a skill or "trick" to it, but I never figured out what that trick was. The following video goes pretty deep into NES programming, it's not going to be for everyone, but the point is: there is no skill or trick that would guarantee success. It was frustrating because it was always down to blind luck.

This may seem random, perhaps, but I find the movement of the cars around the curves of the track within Super Spring to be oddly satisfying. And since the aesthetic pleasure is directly proportional to the skill of the player, this world record run should be as good as it gets.

We're 7 episodes into Supermarket Simulator and, while I haven't posted episodes 1 through 6, they're all about the same and worth noticing.

The history of video games is not even a particular interest of mine but these documentaries are so well made, I get sucked in. Kudos to The Gaming Historian, check out his channel if you have any interest at all. It's a thousand pounds of entertainment even though I can only carry 15 pounds back to the wagon.
The 2023 edition is less manic and therefore not as good as past versions. Still, it's Ice Hockey.
A good, old-fashioned buggy game of nonsense. It's good to have these once in a while.
