There is a new genre of youtube video that's actually a sub-genre of lawncare videos - the Team Leaf Blowing genre.
Similar to pressure washing, carpet cleaning and mowing videos, the Team Leaf Blowing genre ticks the boxes for Oddly Satisfying, Cleaning and 'Disorder to Order.'
I've not dived into the videos enough to give a real analysis. For now, I'm still stuck in lawn mowing videos.
There is a strange synchronization going on. I started watching restoration videos, then moved on to power-washing videos, then carpet washing videos and then lawn mowing videos. Meanwhile the Grumps have played a power-washing game and now a lawn mowing game.
And I am on the precipice of being even more of a joke. I watch this video and I think, "I want to play that game." And it's just a small step away from avoiding mowing the lawn in order to stay in and play Lawn Mowing Simulator. The temptation is there despite being completely aware of the Simpsons joke. Sad.
In a previous episode, I was dismissive of lawn mowing videos. I may have been a little hasty in judgement.
